HomeMy WebLinkAbout05-21-1952 Special MeetingSTATE OF ALABAMA COUNTY OF BALDWIN The City,Council of the City of Fairhope met in special session at the City Hall, Wednesday, May 21, 1952 at 10:00'A.M. with the following members present: Mayor T. J. Klumpp, City Manager C. B. Niemeyer, Councilmen M. 0. Berglin,•E. B. Overton and Ira Steele. Motion by Councilman Overton seconded by Councilman Berglin that the following Resolution be adopted: Motion carried. RESOLUTION RE SOLVED THAT WHEREAS L. C. MAURY and LOUISE MAURY husband and wife; DR. C. G. GODARD mamarried; ALTON E. SCHERMER and LULA G. SCHEPMER. husband and wife; JOHN MILLER and MILDRED G. MILLER husband and wife; A. D. ALLEN and PAULA T. ALLEN husband and wife, own all the land adjoining on both sides, in Block 4, Airey Heights and desire that the alleyway described, as follows, to -wit: 15 foot alleyway extending westward from Section Street to Summit Street following the north line of Airey Heights sub -division to the City of Fairhope, Alabama be vacated and, WHEREAS the City of Fairhope does not desire to open said alleyway or keep it open, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Fairhope assents to the vacation of the above described alleyway. Done this 21st day of May, 1952. STATE OF ALABAMA COUNTY OF BALDWIN I, MARIE MOORE, Clerk of the City of Fairhope, hereby certify that I am the Custodian of the Records of the City of Fairhope, and that the abov3 is a true and correct copy of a Resolution passed by the City Counil as shown in the Minute Book Number 3 of the City of Fairhope on the 21st day of May, 1952. Clerk, City of Fai hope, Ala. Motion by Councilman Berglin seconded by Councilman Overton that the Mayor be authorized to purchase acres of land to be used for a City Dump. Motion carried. It was duly moved and seconded that the meeting adjourn. Motion carried.
