The City Council of the City of Fairhope met in regular
session at the City Hall, January 14, 1952 with the
following members present: Mayor T. J. Klumpp, City
Manager C. B. Niemeyer, Councilmen: J. T. Bradford,
R. H. Brown,and E. B. Overton. Councilmen M. 0. Berglin
and Ira Steele being -absent.
On motion by Councilman Bradford seconded by Councilman
Overton the minutes of the previous regular meeting were
read and approved.
Motion by Councilman Brown seconded by Councilman Overton
that the following bills be approved for payment:

Motion by Councilman Overton seconded by Councilman
Brown that the following Resolution be adopted:
WHEREAS a new Legislation has been passed altering the
method of financing Public Welfare and it is no longer
possible to have local moeny matched, therefore be it
Resolved by the City Council that the City discontinue)'A�
payment to the Department of Public Welfare, the money
to be used locally when needed.
Motion carried.
Motion by Councilman Brown seconded by Councilman
Bradford that the qplication of R. L. Alexander for
building permit on Lot 19 Block 17, Div. 2, be approved.
Motion carried.
It was duly moved and seconded that the meeting adjourn.
