County of Baldwin
The City Council of the City of Fairhope met in regular
session at the City Hall, Monday, September 24, 1951 with
the following members present: Mayor T.J. Klumpp, City
Manager C. B. Niemeyer, Councilmen: Y. 0. Berglin, J. T.
Bradford, R.H. Brown, E. B. Overton and Ira Steele.
It was duly moved and seconded that the minutes of the
previous regular meeting be approved as read.
P:oticn by Councilman Bradford seconded by Councilman Steele
that a Community Center Board consisting of Mrs. Caffee, Dr.
Dacovich and r:r. Huffman be appointed to supervise activities
of the Country Club for three quarters with option for renewal
at the end of this time, activities to include Art Centerp��
Little Theater-, ar c.
Motion carried.
Motion by Council -an Brown seconded by Councilman Steele
that the application of Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Robinson for
building permit on Lot 1, Block 5, Ingleside be approved.
Motion c arried.
Motion by Councilman Steele seconded by Councilman Berglin
that the application of R. Roy Moyers for building permit on
Lot 3, Block 12, Division 1, be approved. notion carried.
Motion by Councilman_ Berglin
that the application of Mrs.
permit on Lots 9 & 10, Block

Motion by Councilman Brown seconded by Councilman Overton
that the following Resolution be adopted.
Be It Resolved by the City Council of the City of
Fairhope that the Tax Collector and Tax Assessor
of Baldwin County each be paid 1% of amount of
City Tax collected for the assessing and collecting
of taxes for the City of Fairhope. Mo— o K Cp A % i a-D
Motion by Councilman Overton seconded by Councilman Berglin
that the City pick up trash for two days during Fire
prevention Creek, October 7 through 13. Motion carried.
Motion by Councilman Bradford seconded by Councilman Berglin
that the City donate lights for the Rotary-Kiwanis ball
game for the benefit of crippled children. Motion carried.
The Park Committe, Mr. Jacobson, Mrs. Blatcrford, Dr. Pierce
Frederick and b!rs. Rose Kamper, gave a report to the Council
of ways to develop the beach parks, the Council to take up
ways and means for future long range development. Motion
carried.
A committee representing the Fairhope Volunteer Fire
Department met with the Council to request a better fire
truck for the City. The Mayor was authorized to purchase
a truck when one is available.
Motion by Councilman Bradford seconded by Councilman Brown
that the meeting adjourn. Motion carried.
