HomeMy WebLinkAbout02-13-1950 Regular MeetingSTATE OF ALABAU County of Baldwin The City Council of'the City of Fairhope met in regular session at the City Hall, Monday, February 13, 1950 with the following members present: Mayor T. J. Klumpp, City Superintendent C. B. Niemeyer, Councilman: M. 0, Berglin, J. T. Bradford, R.H. Brown, E. B. Overton and Ira Steele. The minutes of the previous mmd regular and special meetings were read and approved as read. Voting Yes, Councilman Bradford and Councilman Steele. Voting No, Councilman Overton, Brown and Berglin. Motion by Councilman Overton seconded by Councilman Brown that action on application for Liquor Permit for The Supper Club be postponed until next regular meeting. Voting Yes Councilman Overton, Brown and Berglin. Voting No,60uncilman Bradford and Councilman Steele. Motion carried. On Motion by Councilman Brown seconded by Councilman Berglin the following resolution was adopted: BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Fairhope that Mayor T.J. Klumpp or City Clerk Marie Moore be authorized to have excess to, by rental agreement with the Bank of Fairhope, a safe deposit box at above Bank. Motion carried: Motion by Councilman Berglin seconded by Councilman Steele that the°application of Fairhope Taxi to place sign,at Standard Station on Fairhope Avenue be approved. Motion carried. Motion by Councilman Steele seconded by Councilman Brown that the application of Flora Thornton to hang sign at Fairhope Avenue end of the Arcade of Pitman Building be approved. Motion carried. Motion by Councilman Steele seconded by Councilman Berglin that the application of Schermer Pecan Co. for addition to present building on Lot 7-8, Block 12, Div. 1 be approved providing premises are kept in a sanitary condition. Motion carried. Motion by Councilman Berglin seconded by Councilman Brown that the application of J. S. Holland for building permit behind Holland Drug Store on Fairhope Avenue be approved. Motion carried. Motion by Councilman Brown seconded by Councilman Overton that the application of A.O. Berglin for addition to Fairhope Creamery be approved. Motion carried. Motion by Councilman Brown seconded by Councilman Bradford that contract with Eugene Bosby for garbage collection be renewed at $110,00 per week effeetive immediately. Motion carried. Motion by Councilman Berglin seconded by Councilman Brown that the meeting adjourn. Motion carried. Approved Mayor Attest: Cle rk
