HomeMy WebLinkAbout04-19-1949 Regular Meeting0 STATE OF ALABAMA County of Baldwin The Town Council of the Town of Fairhope met in regular session at the Town Hall Tuesday, April 19, 1949 with the following members present: Mayor, T.J. Klumpp Sr. City Superintendent C. B. Niemeyer, Councilmen: M. 0. Berglin, J. T. Bradford, R. H. Brown and E. B. Overton. Councilman Steele being absent. The -minutes of the previous regular apd special meetings were read and approved. Motion by Councilman Berglin and seconded by Councilman Overton that the Town purchase 1 Three Gang Mower for general purposes. -Motion carried. Motion by Councilman Overton seconded by Councilman Berglin that the Town build rest rooms on the beach. Motion carried. Motion by Councilman Bradford seconded by Councilman Overton that the Town of Fairhope accept the revised Power Contract with Riviera Utilities. Motion carried. It wad duly moved and seconded that the meeting adjourn. Motion carried. Approved Mayor Attest: R. C. Yohn, Clerk t Councilmen Berglin therefore moved that the said Ordinance be finally passed and be adopted as introduced. Councilman Steele seconded the motion. The question being put upon the final passage and adoption of the said Ordinance, the roll was called with the following results: Voting Aye: Mayor Klumpp, Councilmen Berglin, Bradford, Overton and Steele. Voting Nay: None. Thereupon, the Mayor declared said motion carried and the Ordinance finally passed and.adopted. The Mayor thereupon signed said Ordinance in approval of the same. Motion by Councilman Bradford seconded by Councilman Overton that Ralph H. Brown be elected as Town Council- man to fill the vacancy left by the resignation of C.B.Niemeyer. The roll was called with the following results: Voting Aye: Mayor Klumpp, Councilmen Berglin, Bradford, Overton and Steele. Voting Nay: None. The Mayor thereupon declared Ralph H. Brown elected. Motion by Councilman Bradford seconded by Councilman Berglin that the revised application of Leslie B. Williams for building permit on Lot 27, Block 1, Ingleside be allowed. Motion carried. It was duly moved and seconded that the meeting adjourn. Motion carried. Approved T.J.Klumpp, Mayor Attest R.C.Yohn, Clerk
