COUNTY OF BALDWIN
The Town Council of the Town of Fairhope met in regular
'session at the Town Hall Tuesday, December 23, 1947
with the following membdrs present: Mayor, Howard Ruge,
Councilmen: J.H. Bennett, C. A. Gaston, H. P. Kamper,
W. 0. Keeble and J. 0.Stimpson.
The minutes of the previous regular meeting were read
and approved.
Motion by Councilman Gaston seconded by J. 0. Stimpson
that the Mayor be authorized to inform the Alcoholic
Control Board that the Town Council of Fairhope has no
objection to.the installation of mechanical music
machines in Fairhope, including Gavin's and the ,Soda
Garden nor to dancing and music in Fairhope including
Baldwin County Post #99, Fairhope Yacht Club and Club
Blue Light, but that the Town Council reserves the
right to regulate the same and to withdraw its consent.
Motion carried.
Councilman C. A. Gaston offered an ordinance as ffollows:
Ordinance # 179 published in the Fairhope Courier
in its issue of December 24, 1947.
Said ordinance having been read In fuull by the Clerk,
Councilman J.O. Stimpson moved that all rules, regulations
and statutes preventing the Final consideration and
adoption of the same at this meeting be suspended, such
motion having been seconded by Councilman J.H. Bennett
was put upon its passage and was unanimously adopted,
voting for the same, Mayor Howard Ruge, Councilmen:
J.H. Bennett, C. A. Gaston, H. P. Kamper, W. 0. Keeble
and J.O. Stimpson. Voting against,,none; whereupon the
Mayor declared the motion adopted and the rules suspended.
Thereupon Councilman W. 0. Keeble moved the final adoption
of the ordinance which motion being seconded by Councilman
H.P. Kamper was put upon its passage and was unanimously
adopted, voting for the same, Mayor• Howard Ruge, Council-
men J.H. Bennett, C. A. Gaston, H. P. Kamper, W. 0. Keeble
and J.O. Stimpson. Voting against, none; thereupon the
Mayor declared the ordinance duly adopted and signed the
same in approval thereof.
Councilman C. A. Gaston offered an ordinance as follows:
Ordinance #180 published in the Fairhope Courier
in its issue of December 24, 1947.
Said ordinance having been read in full by the Clerk,
Councilman J.H. Bennett moved that all rules, regulations

voting fbr the same, Mayor Howard Ruge, Councilmen:

J. 0. Stimpson. Voting against, none; whereupon the
Mayor declared the motion adopted and the rules suspended.

and J.O. Stimpson. Voting against, none• thereupon the
