HomeMy WebLinkAbout08-12-1947 Regular MeetingSTATE OF ALABAMA County of Baldwin The Town Council of the Town of Fairhope met in regular session at the Town Hall Tuesday, August 12, 1947 with the following members present: Mayor: Howard Ruge, Councilmen: J.H. Bennett, C. A. Gaston, H. P. Kamper, W. 0. Keeble and J. 0. Stimpson. The minutes of the previous regular meeting were read and approved. W & S 2.00 Motion by Councilman Bennett seconded by Councilman Stimpson thpt the Town appropriate $50.00 as advertising for Fairhope entry in International Boat races at Toledo, Ohio. Motion carried. Motion by Councilman Gaston seconded by Councilman Kamper that the Fairhope Public School be allowed to use the Town electric poles to carry its inter- communication cable across the street to Vocational Build- ing. Motion carried. Motion by Councilman Gaston seconded by Councilman Stimpson that Baldwin -Niemeyer be allowed to add to the -M-eester Auto Associate Store Building. Motion carried. Motion by Councilman Keeble seconded by Councilman Gaston that•the application of Irvin C. Langford for permit to build garage on Short Street be allowed. Motion carried.
