COUNTY OF BALDWIN
The Town Council of the Town of Fairhope met in regular
session at the Town Hall, Vonday, Gctober 14, 1940 at
7:30 P.M. with the following members present: Howard Ruge,
Mayor: Councilmen, H.P. Pamper, M.O. Berglin, J.O. Stimpson,
C.A. Gaston and Sam Dyson, the same constituting the full
membership of the Town Council.
The minutes of the previous regular,,_ special and -,organiz-
ation meetings were approved as read.

It was moved by Councilman J.O. Stimpson and seconded by
-- Councilman. M.O. Berglin that the reward be paid to Mrs.
Jack Stapleton for furnishing information leading to the
arrest and conviction of Robert Stevenson for housebreaking
Motion carried.
It was moved by Councilman M.O. Berglin and seconded by Council-
man J.O. Stimpson that the salary of Geo. G. Dyson be increased
to $105,00 per month, effective October 10, 1940. Motion
carried.
It was moved by Councilman H.P. Ka.mper and seconded by Coucnil-
man C.A.. Gaston that R.C. Yohn be appointed Assistant Clerk and
bookkeeper at a salary of $85.00 per month, effective October
1, 1940. Motion carried.
It was moved by Councilman C.A. Gaston and seconded by Council-
man J.O. Stimpson that the Mayor be authorized to provide for
auditing of Town books for the fiscal year ended Sept. 30, 1940.
Motion carried.
It was duly moved and seconded the meeting adjourn. Motion
carried.
