HomeMy WebLinkAbout06-13-1938 Regular Meetinga STATE OF ALABAMA COUNTY OF BALDWIN The Town Council of the Town of Fairhope met in regular session Monday, June 13th, 1938, with the following members present., to -wit Howard Ruge - Mayor, M. 0. Berglin, Sam.Dyson, C. A. Gaston, H. P. Kamper and J. 0. Stimpson, the same constituting the full membership of the Town Council. The minutes of the previous meeting were approved as read. P. Kamper that the report of the committee appointed by the Mayor on Police Officers identification be accepted. Motion carried. The application of S. A. Ellis for a concession on the Beach for July 4th be referred to the Parks & Wharf Committee with full power to act in the matter, on motion of Councilman M. 0. Berglin seconded by Councilman H. P. Kamper. Motion carried. The following resolution was introduced by Councilman C. A. Gaston, who moved its adoption. Seconded by Couhcilman M. 0. Berglin. -2- Whereas the Mayor and Town Clerk have used every reasonable effort and means to collect delinquent taxes Be It Resolved that the Mayor be and is authorized and directed to forthwith collect all delinquent taxes. Be- It Further Resolved that whereever necessary to collect such delinquent taxes the Mayor b•e and is authorized and directed to issue and cause to be executed writs of execution and sale of delinquent tax properties and to institute - and cause to be instituted suits at law and in equity necessary to enforce coll - ection of delinquent taxes.
