The Town Council of the Town of Fairhope,
County of Baldwin, Alabama, 'net in regular sessioU
at the Town Hall at 7:30 P. M. on the 8th day of
November, 1937-t when and where the following members
were present, to -wit: Howard Euge, Mayor, Sam Dyson
11. 0. Berglin, C. A. Gaston, H. P. Kamper and J. 0.
Stimpson; the same constituting the full membership
of the Twon Council.
The monutes of the previous meeting were approved
as read.
It was moved by Councilman C. A. Gaston, 2nd by
Councilman M. 0. Berglin that the following bills be allowed;

It was moved by Councilman C. A. Gaston and seconded
by Councilman M. 0. Berglin that the Town continue to donate
thetElectric Light, Water and Sewer service to the State
Schools in Fairhope. Motion carried.
It was moved by Councilamn C. A. Gaston and seconded
by Councilman Sam Dyson that the Town express their appreciation
and to extend a vote of thanks to Professor Thorp for his
attendance at this meeting and for the information concerning
the .State Schools ih this County.
The following resolution was introduced by C. A. Gaston
read in full by the Clerk and considered by the Council, said
Resolution being as follows;
BE IT RESOLVED that a deposit of such sum of money as
the Mayor shall fix in each case, shall be required from each
applicant for electric service, the same to be paid 18@gore
t service is connected, and to be retained by the Town and
applied"dii,,anjrsbilleforeg6r�ice owing from such applicant
when service is disconnected, but if no bill is then owing,
the sum shall be paid over to the person depositing it;

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor may at any time
require additional deposit from users of electric service
whenever in his judgement the deposit previously made is in -
suffecient.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that all resolutions hereto
s
fore adopted retaining to and governing deposits for electric
service a hereby repealed.
It was moved by Councilman H. P. Kamper and seconded by
Councilman J. 070 Stimpson that all rules of the Town Council
of the Town of Fairhope, which might prevent, unless suspended,
the final passage and adoption of said Resolution at this
meeting, be and the same is hereby suspended for the purpose
of permitting the final passage and adoption of said Resolution
at this meeting.
The question being put upon the adoption of said
motion and the suspension of such rules, the roll was called
with the following results;
AYES M. 0. Berglin, Sam Dyson, C. A. Gaston, H. P. Kamper
and J. 0. Stimpson.
Nays: None
The Mayor declardd said motion carried, and such rules
suspended.
Councilman 12. 0. Betgl'in then .moved that said resolution
be now placed upon its final passage. Councilman J. 0. Stimpson
seconded the motion.
The question being put upon the placing of said resolution
upon its final passage, the roll was called with the following
results
AYES: M. 0. Berglin, Sam Dyson, C. A. Gaston, H. P. Kamper,
and J. 0. Stimpson.
NAYS: None.
The Mayor declared 'the motion carried. Councilman
C. A. Gaston thereupon moved that the Resolution be finally
passed and adopted as in'Gwduced and read. Councilman Sam
Dyson seconded the motion.
The question being put upon the final passage and
adoption of said eP the roll was called with the
following results.
AYES: M. 0. Berglin, SaW Dyson, C.A.Gaston, H. P. Kamper and
J. 0. Stimpson.
NAYS: None.
The Mayor thereupon declared said motion carried and the

resolution finally passed and adopted.. The Mayor thereupon
signed sand in approval thereof.

BE IT ORDAINED by the Town Council of the Town of
Fairhope that:

SECTION 1. It shall be unlawful for any person to park a
motor vehicle, truck or bus, having -an overall length greater
than 18feet on Fairhope Avenue, between Bancroft Street and
church Street, on Section Street between Delmar Avenue and
Town Hall or on Church Street between Fairhope Avenue and the
,�..
-fiddle of the block on the South, except that commercial
trucks may stop at business houses such reasonable tirme as
shall be actually necessary for loading and unloading goods
delivered or received from such business houses.
SECTION 2. It shall be unlawful for any person to park any
vehicle of any kind on streets or parts of streets enumeriated
in Section 1 hereof when such vehicle has any stick, pole, rod,
pipe or anything else, projecting more than two feet beyond the
main body of the vehicle.
SECTION 3. It shall be univ:.Wful for any person to park any
vehicle on the marked streets of Fairhope other than between
i dnd parallel with the lines marked off for parking.
SECTION 4. Any person violating this ordinance -shall be fined
not less than � 1.00 nor more than 100.00, or may be sentenced
to hard labor for the Town for not exceeding six months, either
both.
It was moved by Councilman H. 0. Berglin and seconded by
Councilman J. 0. Stimpson that all rules of the Town Council
of the Town of Fairhope, which might prevent, unless suspended,
the final passage and adoption of said ordinance at this meetings,.
be and the same are hereby suspended for the purpose of permiting

The Mayor declared said motion carried and such rules suspended.
Councilman Li. 0. Berglin then moved that said ordinance
be placed upon its final passage. Councilman J. 0-0 Stimpson
seconded the motion.
The question bang put upon the placing of said ordinance

results.
AYES: M. 0. Berglin, Sam Dyson, C. A. Gaston, H. P. Kamper and
J. 0. Stimpson.
NAYS: None.
The liayor declared the motion carried. Councilman Sam Dyson
there.upannmoved--that the said ordinance be finally passed and
introduced and read. Councilman H. P. Kamper seconded the
motion.
The question being put upon the final passage aridsadapct••--

The Mayor thereupon declared said motion carried and the
ordinance finally passed and adolt,�ed. The Mayor thereupon
signed the said ordinance in approval thereof.
It was moved and duly seconded that the meeting adjourn.
Motion carried.
