BALDWIN COUNTY.
the Town Council of the Town of Fairhope, County of
Baldwin, Alabama, met in egular se ion at Town Hall at

following resolution s.
WHEREAS, Fairbanks, Morse & Co. has presented to the Town
of Fairhope, Alabama., a proposal to sell to the said teen a 225 HP
Diesel Engine Generating Unit together with other certain equip-
ment, all of which is more particularly described in the said
proposal, at and for the sum of EIGHTEEN THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED
NINETY SIX & N01100 DOLLARS (189896.00) , to be paid in the manner
set out in the said proposal;which said proposal is dated December
14, 1936; and
WHEREAS, The said machinery and equipment are needed for
immediate use in the Municipal Electric Light Plant of the Town;Ani
VMREAS, It appears to the Town Council that under the terms
of the said proposal the teen can purchase the said equipment and
pay for same out of the net earnings of the Municipal Light Plant
without creating any obligation on the Municipality except as
against the said net earnings; and
WHEEMAS,It appears to the Council that it is to the beat
interests of the Municipality to make the said purchase;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED AND ORDERED That the Town of
Fairhope, County of Baldwin and State of Alabama, do enter into the
said contract, and the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized, directed°

and empowered to execute and deliver to the said Fairbanks, Morse
& Co., New Orleans, La.o the said contract; and the Town Clerk be and

he is hereby authorized , directed and empowered to attest the
same.
BE IT FURTHER. RESOLVED That the Mayor and Town Olerk
be and they are hereby authorized, directed and empowered to
execute and deliver to the said Fairbanks, Morse & Co., Pledge
of Receipts Orders or Warrants for the sums and due at the times
set out in the above mentioned proposal; the said proposal to be
a part of this resolution and ord r.

resolution finally passed and adopted. The Mayor thereupon signed
said ordinance in approval thereof.
