BALDWIN COUNTY' A joint meeting of the retiring and newly elected Cguncils or we Town of r'airhope, was held Monday, October 5, 1936 with all members present. The Oath of Uffice was administered to the newly elected Mayor and Council who proceeded with their first meeting, mayor Ruge presiding. Motion by councilman C. .:. Gaston seconded by councilman ld. 0. Begglin, that we the elected representatives of the citizenship of the 'Town of Fairho pe in behalf of such citizenship extend to the retiring Councilmen, T. J. Klumpp and W. 0. Keeble, its sincere appreciation for the valuable and unselfish service rendered by them; carried. j 0 Nomination of Uladys "owell for the office of clerk at a salary of 075.00 per month was made by Ugzncilman C. A. Gaston end seconded by Uouncilman Geo. w. Morgan. upon fhll call the vote stood, AYES, Howard Ruge, mayor; M. 0. Bergli�,,, _;,�,GLaton, H. P. Kamper, Geo. W. Morgan and J . 0. Stimpson, Uouncilmerf., ter nearing the vote the Mayor declared Uladys Lowell duly elected to the office of Glerk. Nomination ofoJ�� H. Titus for office of Marshal a.tWa salary or $75.00 per month was made by Councilman M. 0. Berglin and seconded by Councilman J. 0.Stimpson. upon roll call the vote stood, AYES, Howard huge, Mayor; M. 0. Berlin, C. L. Gaston, A. P. Kamper, Geo. W. Morgan and J. U. Stimp- son, Councilmen. NOES; None. After hearing the vote the Mayor dec lar-gd J. H. Titus duly elected to the office of marshal. Cquncilmen C. Gaston, tut. U. Berglin and Geo. it. W. Morgan that the Uouncit meet in the Town hall on the second and fourth Vondays of each montlg at 7:30 o'clock; carried. Meeting adjourned.
