WHEREAS, ETHERIDGE S. DORTCH, the owner of the hereinafter described property, did, in writing,
petition the City of Fairhope, a municipal corporation, for annexation under Section 11-42-21 of the Code of
Alabama, 1975, as amended; and
WHEREAS, the property of Etheridge S. Dortch was annexed by the Governing Body of the City of
Fairhope on June 13, 1994 in Ordinance No. 960; and
WHEREAS, the property is located at 607 South Ingleside, Fairhope, Alabama with a County Tax Parcel
No. 05-46-04-20-4-000-011.000; and
WHEREAS, the property description in Ordinance No. 960, the Ordinance annexing the property, has the
incorrect metes and bounds for Dortch property that should have been annexed, 607 South Ingleside.; and
WHEREAS, the property described in Ordinance No. 960 and hereinafter described encompasses other
property owned by owners who did not petition the City of Fairhope for annexation said property being
described as follows:
Beginning at the NE Corner of the Southeast Quarter of Section 20, T6S, R2E, run West 1326 ft,
then South 500 ft; then East 209 ft; then North 209 ft; then East 1117 ft to the section line, then
run North 297 ft along said section line to the point of beginning; less 1 square acre in the
northwest corner belonging to M. Williams; leaving f 1 acre; and
WHEREAS, this description which includes more property than the property owned by Dortch and more
property than Dortch petitioned to be annexed should be corrected and shall be corrected by this Ordinance
amending Ordinance No. 960.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF FAIRHOPE,
ALABAMA, that Ordinance No. 960 is hereby amended to correct the erroneous metes and bounds
description contained in that Ordinance by substituting the following described property as the property
annexed by Ordinance No. 960, lying contiguous to the corporate limits of the City of Fairhope, Alabama;
and not within the corporate limits or the police jurisdiction of any other municipality; be and the same is
hereby annexed to the City of Fairhope, Alabama, to -wit:
Property is located at 607 South Ingleside, Fairhope, Alabama.

This property shall be zoned R-1, Low Density Single -Family Residential District.
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that a certified copy of this Ordinance, with a copy of the Petition and the
exhibit, be recorded in the Office of the Probate Judge, Baldwin County, Alabama.
This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its due adoption and publication as required by law.

We, the undersigned PETITIONER/S, owner/s of the lands in fee simple described
in the attached EXHIBIT A, such property being without the Corporate Limits of
the City of Fairhope, Alabama, but being contiguous to the said Corporate Limits;
and such property not lying within the corporate limits or police jurisdiction
of any other municipality, do, by these presents, hereby petition the City of
Fairhope, a municipal corporation, that said property be annexed into the City
of Fairhope, Alabama.
The subject land is delineated on the map attached hereto as EXHIBIT B.
This petition is filed under authority of Section 11-42-21, Code of Alabama,
1975, as amended.
