HomeMy WebLinkAboutO-1395ORDINANCE NO. 1395 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 1371, RULES OF PROCEDURE IN ALL INSTANCES FOR MEETINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAIRHOPE, ALABAMA, as follows: The ordinance known as the City of Fairhope's Council Procedures Ordinance (No. 1371), adopted 10 November 2008, is hereby amended in respect to the certain section below and all other sections within this ordinance remain as written and adopted: AMENDING SECTION VI: That the order of business of each council meeting shall be as follows: 1. Call to Order 2. Invocation/Pledge of Allegiance 3. Approval of the Minutes of the Previous Meeting(s) 4. Report of the Mayor 5. Council Comments 6. Report of Officers: a. Department Heads Report b. City Attorney Report 7. Reports of Standing Committees: Utility Committee Finance Committee Public Safety Committee Public Works Committee 8. Reports of Special Boards and Commissions: Planning Commission Board of Zoning Adjustment Airport Authority Industrial Development Board Library Board Parking Authority Recreation Board Environmental Advisory Board Museum Board Historic Preservation Committee Tree Board Recycle Committee Harbor Board Personnel Board Strategic Planning Committee Education Committee 9. Resolution, Ordinances and Other Business 10. Public Participation 11. Adjournment Ordinance No. 1395 Page 2 Severability. The sections, paragraphs, sentences, clauses and phrases of this ordinance are severable, and if any phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph or section of this ordinance shall be declared unconstitutional by a court of competent jurisdiction, then such ruling shall not affect any other paragraphs and sections, since the same would have been enacted by the municipality council without the incorporation of any such unconstitutional phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph or section.
