WHEREAS, DONALD JAMES GORDON AND KATHLEEN HUNTER
GORDON , the owner of the hereinafter described property, did, in writing, petition the
City of Fairhope, a municipal corporation, for annexation under Section 11-42-21 of the
Code of Alabama, 1975, as amended; and
WHEREAS, a map of said property is attached to said Petition as an exhibit; NOW,
THEREFORE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF FAIRHOPE,
ALABAMA, that the following described property, lying contiguous to the corporate
limits of the City of Fairhope, Alabama; and not within the corporate limits or the police
jurisdiction of any other municipality; be and the same is hereby annexed to the City of
Fairhope, Alabama, to -wit:
Property is located at 6952 Gordon Lane, Fairhope, Alabama.

From the Southeast corner of Lot 17 of the Village of Montrose, as recorded in Deed
Book E, Page 388 in the Office of the Judge of Probate, Baldwin County, Alabama; run
thence North 14 degrees West, 139.04 feet to an iron bolt; thence run South 76 degrees
00 minutes West, 291.84 feet to a point for a Point of Beginning; thence continue South
76 degrees 00 minutes West, 289.00 feet to an iron pin; thence run North 14 degrees 00
minutes West, 69.47 feet to an iron pin; thence run north 76 degrees 04 minutes 02
seconds East, 289.02 feet to an iron pin; thence run South 14 degrees 00 minutes East,
69.15 feet to the Point of Beginning. Containing .47 acres, more or less.
This property shall be zoned R-1, Low Density Single- Family Residential District.
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that a certified copy of this Ordinance, with a copy of
the Petition and the exhibit, be recorded in the Office of the Probate Judge, Baldwin
County, Alabama.
This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its due adoption and publication as
required by law.

We, the undersigned PETITIONER(S), owner(s) of the lands in fee simple described in
the attached EXHIBIT A, such property being without the Corporate Limits of the City of
Fairhope, Alabama, but being contiguous to the said Corporate Limits; and such property
not lying within the corporate limits or police jurisdiction of any other municipality, do,
by these presents, hereby petition the City of Fairhope, a municipal corporation, that said
property be annexed into the City of Fairhope, Alabama.
The subject land is delineated on the map attached hereto as EXHIBIT B.
This petition is filed under authority of Section 11-42-21, Code of Alabama, 1975, as
amended.

CORRECTION DEED
STATE OF ALABAMA

WHEREAS, a Correction Deed was executed by DONALD JAMES
GORDON, a married man, to DONALD JAMES GORDON and KATHLEEN HUNTER
GORDON, husband and wife, and recorded on April 9, 1998 in Real
Property Book 816, Page 1487, in the Office of the Judge of
Probate, Baldwin County, Alabama; and,
WHEREAS, the aforesaid Deed was in error in that it contained
an incorrect description of the property;
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that this instrument is executed
for the purpose of correcting the description of the property in
the aforesaid Deed to read as follows:
From the Southeast corner of Lot 17 of the Village of
Montrose, as recorded in Deed Book E, Page 388 in the
Office of the Judge of Probate, Baldwin County, Alabama; a
run thence North 14 degrees West, 139.04 feet to an iron
bolt; thence run South 76 degrees 00 minutes West, 291.84
feet to a point for a Point of Beginning; thence continue
South 76 degrees 00 minutes West, 289.00 feet to an iron
pin; thence run North 14 degrees 00 minutes West, 69.47
feet to an iron pin; thence run North 76 degrees 04
minutes 02 seconds East, 289.02 feet to an iron pin;
thence run South 14 degrees 00 minutes East, 69.15 feet
to the Point of Beginning.
TOGETHER WITH a 12 foot right of way along the North line
of the following described property for ingress and
egress:
