ORDINANCE NO. 1249
WHEREAS, FRANKLIN THOMAS TAYLOR AND LINDA KAY TAYLOR, the owner of the
hereinafter described property, did, in writing, petition the City of Fairhope, a municipal corporation, for
annexation under Section 11-42-21 of the Code of Alabama, 1975, as amended; and
WHEREAS, a map of said property is attached to said Petition as an exhibit; NOW, THEREFORE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF FAIRHOPE, ALABAMA, that
the following described property, lying contiguous to the corporate limits of the City of Fairhope,
Alabama; and not within the corporate limits or the police jurisdiction of any other municipality; be and
the same is hereby annexed to the City of Fairhope, Alabama, to -wit:
Property is located at 8450 Gayfer Road Extension, Fairhope, Alabama
LEGAL DESCRIPTIONS:
TAX PARCEL 46-05-16-0-000-003.002
From a Point on the apparent South Right-of-way of Gayfer Avenue Extension (Co. Rd. #30), which Point
is 209.1 feet West of and 30 feet South of the Northeast Corner of Northeast '/4 of Northwest '/4, Section
16, Township 6 South, Range 2 East, Run South 89 degrees 56-1/2 minutes West along South Right-of-
way 217.8 feet, the Northeast Corner of Steber's Property, thence South 145 feet to Steber's Southeast
Corner; thence South 89 degrees 56-1/2 minutes West 100 feet to Lipscomb's East Boundary; thence
South 107.66 feet to Hill's North Boundary; thence North 89 degrees 56-1/2 minutes East 317.86 feet;
thence North 252.66 feet to the Point of Beginning. Lying in Northeast'/4 of Northwest'/4 Section 16,
Township 6 South, Range 2 East, and containing 1.26 acres, more or less.

Beginning on the Northeast corner of the West 140 feet of the North 10 acres of the East '/z of the
Northeast '/4 of the Northwest '/4 of Section 16, Township 6 South, Range 2 East, of Baldwin County,
Alabama, being the Northeast corner of the same property hereinbefore conveyed to J. W. Lipscomb and
wife Marie Lipscomb for a point of beginning; thence run South 150 feet along the East line of the
property of J. W. Lipscomb and wife Marie Lipscomb to a point; thence run East 100 feet to a point;
thence run north 150 feet to a point; thence run West 100 feet to the point of beginning, all being in then
Northeast '/4 of the Northwest '/4 of Section 16, Township 6 South, Range 2 East, Baldwin County,
Alabama, and containing .34 acres, more or less.
These properties shall be zoned R-1, Low Density Single- Family Residential District.
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that a certified copy of this Ordinance, with a copy of the Petition and the
exhibit, be recorded in the Office of the Probate Judge, Baldwin County, Alabama.
This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its due adoption and publication as required by law.

We, the undersigned PETITIONER(S), owner(s) of the lands in fee simple described in the attached EXHIBIT A, such
property being without the Corporate Limits of the City of Fairhope, Alabama, but being contiguous to the said Corporate
Limits; and such property not lying within the corporate limits or police jurisdiction of any other municipality, do, by these
presents, hereby petition the City of Fairhope, a municipal corporation, that said property be annexed into the City of
Fairhope, Alabama.
The subject land is delineated on the map attached hereto as EXHIBIT B.
This petition is filed under authority of Section 11-42-21, Code of Alabama, 1975, as amended.
