ORDINANCE NO. 1212
WHEREAS, HENRY CRAWFORD AND JOANN S. CRAWFORD the owner of the
hereinafter described property, did, in writing, petition the City of Fairhope, a municipal
corporation, for annexation under Section 11-42-21 of the Code of Alabama, 1975, as amended;
and
WHEREAS, a map of said property is attached to said Petition as an exhibit; NOW,
THEREFORE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF FAIRHOPE,
ALABAMA, that the following described property, lying contiguous to the corporate limits of
the City of Fairhope, Alabama; and not within the corporate limits or the police jurisdiction of
any other municipality; be and the same is hereby annexed to the City of Fairhope, Alabama, to -
wit:
Property is located at 23297A Main Street, Montrose, Alabama
LEGAL DESCRIPTIONS:
TAX PARCEL 43-09-43-0-000-034.000
The North one-half of Lot Eight (8) and the South 52 feet of Lot Nine (9) of the Village of
Montrose according to map of Montrose made by Gavin Yuille and recorded in Book E, Page
388 of the Baldwin County Probate Records, said property having a frontage on Mobile Bay of
One Hundred Fifty -Six feet (156) and extending to the Eastern Shore Highway with a uniform
width; together with riparian rights pertaining thereto. Contains 3.15 acres more or less.
TAX PARCEL 43-09-43-0-000-033.000
South '/z of Lot 8, Village of Montrose, according to a plat thereof recorded in Deed Book "E",
page 388, of the records in the Office of the Judge of Probate of Baldwin County, Alabama.
Contains 2.07 acres more or less.
TAX PARCEL 43-09-43-0-000-032.001
The North 50 feet of Lot Number 7 in the Village of Montrose, Baldwin County, Alabama, as
per plat thereof on file in the Office of the Judge of Probate of Baldwin County, Alabama,
recorded in Deed Book "E" at page 388. Contains 1.01 acres more or less.
This property shall be zoned R-1, Low Density Single- Family Residential District.
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that a certified copy of this Ordinance, with a copy of the
Petition and the exhibit, be recorded in the Office of the Probate Judge, Baldwin County,
Alabama.
This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its due adoption and publication as required
by law.

We, the undersigned PETITIONER(S), owner(s) of the lands in fee simple described in the attached EXHIBIT A, such
property being without the Corporate Limits of the City of Fairhope, Alabama, but being contiguous to the said Corporate
Limits; and such property not lying within the corporate limits or police jurisdiction of any other municipality, do, by these
presents, hereby petition the City of Fairhope, a municipal corporation, that said property be annexed into the City of
Fairhope, Alabama.
The subject land is delineated on the map attached hereto as EXHIBIT B.
This petition is filed under authority of Section 11-42-21, Code of Alabama, 1975, as amended.
