Corrected Leaal Description
WHEREAS, CITY OF FAIRHOPE , the owner of the hereinafter described property, did,
in writing, petition the City of Fairhope, a municipal corporation, for annexation under Section
11-42-21 of the Code of Alabama, 1975, as amended; and
WHEREAS, a map of said property is attached to said Petition as an exhibit; NOW,
THEREFORE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF FAIRHOPE,
ALABAMA, that the following described property, lying contiguous to the corporate limits of
the City of Fairhope, Alabama; and not within the corporate limits or the police jurisdiction of
any other municipality; be and the same is hereby annexed to the City of Fairhope, Alabama, to -
wit:
Property is located adjacent to the Public Works Building located at 550 South Section Street
(Current landfill).
LEGAL DESCRIPTION:
TAX PARCEL 46-04-20-3-000-026-000
From the Northeast corner of Baron DeFerriet Grant Section 18, Township 6 South, Range 2
East, Baldwin County, Alabama, run S-31'01'37"-W, a distance of'486.86 feet to an 8" diameter
post; thence run N-69°49'06"-W, a distance of 939.78 feet to a point; thence run S-21°43'37"-
W, a distance of 30.79 feet to an iron pin lying on the south side of a 30-foot lane for the Point of
Beginning; thence run S-69°53'56"-E, a distance of 261.45 feet to an iron pin; thence run S-
30°41'36"-W, a distance of 709.14 feet to an iron pin; thence run N-59°41'05"-W, a distance of
898.02 feet to an iron pin; thence run N-30044'34"-E, a distance of 219.19 feet to an iron pin;
thence run N-67°31'01"-E, a distance of 702.84 feet to an iron pin; thence run N-21°43'37"-E, a
distance of 351.74 feet to the Point of Beginning. Said parcel of land contains 7.7 acres, more or
less.
This property shall be zoned R-1, Low Density Single- Family Residential District.
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that a certified copy of this Ordinance, with a copy of the
Petition and the exhibit, be recorded in the Office of the Probate Judge, Baldwin County,
Alabama.
This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its due adoption and publication as required
by law.

We, the undersigned PETITIONER(S), owner(s) of the lands in fee simple described in the attached EXHIBIT A, such
property being without the Corporate Limits of the City of Fairhope, Alabama, but being contiguous to the said Corporate
Limits; and such property not lying within the corporate limits or police jurisdiction of any other municipality, do, by these
presents, hereby petition the City of Fairhope, a municipal corporation, that said property be annexed into the City of
Fairhope, Alabama.
The subject land is delineated on the map attached hereto as EXHIBIT B.
This petition is filed under authority of Section 11-42-21, Code of Alabama, 1975, as amended.
