ORDINANCE NO. 1203
WHEREAS, CITY OF FAIRHOPE , the owner of the hereinafter described property, did,
in writing, petition the City of Fairhope, a municipal corporation, for annexation under Section
11-42-21 of the Code of Alabama, 1975, as amended; and
WHEREAS, a map of said property is attached to said Petition as an exhibit; NOW,
THEREFORE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF FAIRHOPE,
ALABAMA, that the following described property, lying contiguous to the corporate limits of
the City of Fairhope, Alabama; and not within the corporate limits or the police jurisdiction of
any other municipality; be and the same is hereby annexed to the City of Fairhope, Alabama, to -
wit:
Property is located next to the H.L. "Sonny" Callahan Airport on County Road 32, Baldwin County,
Fairhope, Alabama (Former owners Estate of Ada Bishop, deceased, James C. Bishop, Clayton Bishop
and Ruby Rohm- Tract 6)

TRACT 6:
A parcel of land located in Section 9, Township 7 South, Range 2 East, Baldwin County,
Alabama, more particularly described as follows:
Commence at an iron spike found in the asphalt of Farm to Market Road, know as the Southeast
Corner of the W % of the SW '/4 of the NE 1/4 , Section 9, Township 7 South, Range 2 East, and
proceed on a bearing of N 03' 21' 41" W, a distance of 29.59 feet to the North Right-of-way of
Farm to Market Road; thence proceed on a bearing of N 89' 43' 48" W, along the North Right -
of -Way of Farm to Market Road, a distance of 345.95 feet, to the Point of Beginning; thence
continue on a bearing of N 89' 43' 48" W, along the North Right -of -Way of Farm to Market
Road, a distance of 317.46 feet; thence proceed on a bearing of N 00' 04' 23" W, a distance of
1302.33 feet; thence proceed on a bearing of S 89' 39' 42" E, a distance of 305.39 feet; thence
proceed on a bearing of S 00' 11' 51" W, a distance of 365.51 feet; thence proceed on a bearing
of S 00' 55' 02" E, a distance of 936.38 feet, to the Point of Beginning. This parcel contains
9.30 acres, more or less.
This property shall be zoned R-1, Low Density Single- Family Residential District.
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that a certified copy of this Ordinance, with a copy of the
Petition and the exhibit, be recorded in the Office of the Probate Judge, Baldwin County,
Alabama.
This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its due adoption and publication as required
by law.

We, the undersigned PETITIONER(S), owner(s) of the lands in fee simple described in the attached EXHIBIT A, such
property being without the Corporate Limits of the City of Fairhope, Alabama, but being contiguous to the said Corporate
Limits; and such property not lying within the corporate limits or police jurisdiction of any other municipality, do, by these
presents, hereby petition the City of Fairhope, a municipal corporation, that said property be annexed into the City of
Fairhope, Alabama.
The subject land is delineated on the map attached hereto as EXHIBIT B.
This petition is filed under authority of Section 11-42-21, Code of Alabama, 1975, as amended.
