ORDINANCE NO. 1187
WHEREAS,_ CITY OF FAIRHOPE , the owner of the hereinafter described property, did,
in writing, petition the City of Fairhope, a municipal corporation, for annexation under Section
11-42-21 of the Code of Alabama, 1975, as amended; and
WHEREAS, a map of said property is attached to said Petition as an exhibit; NOW,
THEREFORE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF FAIRHOPE,
ALABAMA, that the following described property, lying contiguous to the corporate limits of
the City of Fairhope, Alabama; and not within the corporate limits or the police jurisdiction of
any other municipality; be and the same is hereby annexed to the City of Fairhope, Alabama, to -
wit:
Property is located next to the H.L. "Sonny" Callahan Airport on County Road 32, Baldwin County,
Fairhope, Alabama (Former owner James C. Bishop)
LEGAL DESCRIPTIONS:
TAX PARCEL 05-56-02-09-1-001-004.001
Parcel of land located in Section 9, Township 7 South, Range 2 East, Baldwin County, Alabama,
more particularly described as follows: Commence at the Northeast corner of the West 1/2 of the
Southwest 1/4 of the Northeast 1/4 of Section 9, Township 7 South, Range 2 East and proceed
on a bearing of North 89 degrees 39 minutes 42 seconds West, a distance of 314.06 feet to a
calculated point to be set also the POINT OF BEGINNING; thence proceed on a bearing of
South 09 degrees 34 minutes 23 seconds West, a distance of 318.68 feet to a calculated point to
be set; thence proceed on a bearing of North 00 degrees 11 minutes 51 seconds East, a distance
of 314.55 feet to a calculated point to be set; thence proceed on a bearing of South 89 degrees 39
minutes 42 seconds East, a distance of 51.92 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING. This parcel
contains 0.18 acres more or less.
This property shall be zoned R-1, Low Density Single- Family Residential District.
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that a certified copy of this Ordinance, with a copy of the
Petition and the exhibit, be recorded in the Office of the Probate Judge, Baldwin County,
Alabama.
This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its due adoption and publication as required
by law.
