ORDINANCE NO. 1185
WHEREAS, CITY OF FAIRHOPE , the owner of the hereinafter described property, did, in writing,
petition the City of Fairhope, a municipal corporation, for annexation under Section 11-42-21 of the Code
of Alabama, 1975, as amended; and
WHEREAS, a map of said property is attached to said Petition as an exhibit; NOW, THEREFORE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF FAIRHOPE, ALABAMA, that
the following described property, lying contiguous to the corporate limits of the City of Fairhope,
Alabama; and not within the corporate limits or the police jurisdiction of any other municipality; be and
the same is hereby annexed to the City of Fairhope, Alabama, to -wit:
Property is located next to the H.L. "Sonny" Callahan Airport on County Road 32, Baldwin County,
Fairhope, Alabama (Former owners Florence M. Uhlhorn and E. Mason McGowin)
LEGAL DESCRIPTIONS:
TAX PARCEL 05-56-02-04-1-001-005.000
PARCEL 1: Tract 3
Parcel of land located in Section 4, Township 7 South, Range 2 East, Baldwin County, Alabama, more particularly
described as follows: Commence at the Northeast corner of Section 4, Township 7 South, Range 2 East and proceed
on a bearing of South 89 degrees 52 minutes 45 seconds West, a distance of 1215.46 feet to a calculated point;
thence proceed on a bearing of South 09 degrees 34 minutes 23 seconds West, a distance of 41.48 feet, to an iron
pipe found on the South right-of-way of Baldwin County Road Number 32 and the Point of Beginning; thence
continue on a bearing of South 09 degrees 34 minutes 23 seconds West, a distance of 2660.72 feet; thence proceed
on a bearing of North 89 degrees 52 minutes 00 seconds West, a distance of 607.90 feet; thence proceed on a bearing
of North 09 degrees 33 minutes 57 seconds East, a distance of 2660.60 feet, to the South right-of-way of Baldwin
County Road Number 32; thence proceed on a bearing of South 89 degrees 52 minutes 22 seconds East along the
South right-of-way of Baldwin County Road Number 32, a distance of 608.25 feet to the Point of Beginning.
Contains 36.64 acres more or less.
PARCEL 2: Tract 4
A parcel of land located in Section 4, Township 7 South, Range 2 East, Baldwin County, Alabama, more particularly
described as follows: Commence at the Southeast corner of the Southeast quarter of Section 4, Township 7 South,
Range 2 East; and proceed on a bearing of North 89 degrees 27 minutes 07 seconds West, a distance of 1333.07 feet;
thence proceed on a bearing of North 89 degrees 28 minutes 13 seconds West, a distance of 663.51 feet; thence
proceed on a bearing of North 00 degrees 13 minutes 36 seconds East a distance of 1113.01 feet to the Point of
Beginning; thence proceed on a bearing of North 89 degrees 32 minutes 04 seconds West, a distance of 520.11 feet;
thence proceed on a bearing of North 09 degrees 33 minutes 57 seconds East, a distance of 1573.35 feet; thence
proceed on a bearing of South 89 degrees 52 minutes 00 seconds East, a distance of 607.90 feet; thence proceed on a
bearing of South 09 degrees 34 minutes 23 seconds West, a distance of 1576.95 feet; thence proceed on a bearing of
North 89 degrees 32 minutes 04 seconds West a distance of 87.01 feet to the Point of Beginning. Contains 21.63
acres more or less.
This property shall be zoned R-1, Low Density Single- Family Residential District.
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that a certified copy of this Ordinance, with a copy of the Petition and the
exhibit, be recorded in the Office of the Probate Judge, Baldwin County, Alabama.
This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its due adoption and publication as required by law.

We, the undersigned PETITIONER(S), owner(s) of the lands in Ice simple described in the attached EXHIBIT A, such
property being without the Corporate Limits of the City of Fairhope, Alabama, but being contiguous to the said Corporate
Limits; and such property not lying within the corporate limits or police jurisdiction of any other municipality, do, by these
presents, hereby petition the City of Fairhope, a municipal corporation, that said property be annexed into the City of
Fairhope, Alabama.
The subject land is delineated on the map attached hereto as FXI-IIBIT B.
This petition is tiled under authority of SCClion 1 1-42-21, Codr of' Alabama. 1975, as amended.
