ORDINANCE NO. 1167
WHEREAS, CITY OF FAIRHOPE , the owner of the hereinafter described property, did,
in writing, petition the City of Fairhope, a municipal corporation, for annexation under Section
11-42-21 of the Code of Alabama, 1975, as amended; and
WHEREAS, a map of said property is attached to said Petition as an exhibit; NOW,
THEREFORE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF FAIRHOPE,
ALABAMA, that the following described property, lying contiguous to the corporate limits of
the City of Fairhope, Alabama; and not within the corporate limits or the police jurisdiction of
any other municipality; be and the same is hereby annexed to the City of Fairhope, Alabama, to -
wit:
Property is located North of Bishop Road
LEGAL DESCRIPTIONS:
TRACT 10
A parcel of land located in Section 9, Township 7 South, Range 2 East, Baldwin County,
Alabama; Conmience at an iron spike in the asphalt being the Northeast corner of the Northwest
quarter of the Southeast quarter of Section 9, Township 7 South, Range 2 East; thence South 00
degrees 09 minutes 57 seconds West, a distance of 30.02 feet to a one-half inch iron rebar on the
South right-of-way of Farm to Market Road; thence North 89 degrees 43 minutes 13 seconds
West along the South right-of-way of Farm to Market Road, a distance of 1997.33 feet to a one-
half inch rebar found, and the POINT OF BEGINNING; thence North 89 degrees 47 minutes 59
seconds West along the South right-of-way of Farm to Market Road, a distance of 723.41 feet;
thence South 35 degrees 35 minutes 07 seconds East, a distance of 538.42 feet; thence South 18
degrees 01 minutes 51 seconds West, a distance of 1747.68 feet; thence South 80 degrees 30
minutes 00 seconds East, a distance of 962.62 feet; thence North 00 degrees 03 minutes 04
seconds West, a distance of 956.75 feet, to a three inch by 5 foot high post; thence North 00
degrees 06 minutes 33 seconds East, a distance of 1299.33 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING;
containing 33.30 acres more or less.
This property shall be zoned R-1, Low Density Single- Family Residential District.
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that a certified copy of this Ordinance, with a copy of the
Petition and the exhibit, be recorded in the Office of the Probate Judge, Baldwin County,
Alabama.
This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its due adoption and publication as required
by law.

We, the undersigned PETITIONER(S), owner(s) of the lands in fee simple described in the attached EXHIBIT A, such
property being without the Corporate Limits of the City of Fairhope, Alabama, but being contiguous to the said Corporate
Limits; and such property not lying within the corporate limits or police jurisdiction of any other municipality, do, by these
presents, hereby petition the City of Fairhope, a municipal corporation, that said property be annexed into the City of
Fairhope, Alabama.
The subject land is delineated on the map attached hereto as EXHIBIT B.
This petition is filed under authority of Section 1 1-42-21, Code of Alabama, 1975, as amended.
