WHEREAS, JEANNE K. MCGRIFF , the owner of the hereinafter described
property, did, in writing, petition the City of Fairhope, a municipal corporation, for
annexation under Section 11-42-21 of the Code of Alabama, 1975, as amended; and
WHEREAS, a map of said property is attached to said Petition as an exhibit; NOW,
THEREFORE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF FAIRHOPE,
ALABAMA, that the following described property, lying contiguous to the corporate
limits of the City of Fairhope, Alabama; and not within the corporate limits or the
police jurisdiction of any other municipality; be and the same is hereby annexed to the
City of Fairhope, Alabama, to -wit:
Property is located in Montrose, Alabama
LEGAL DESCRIPTIONS:
TAX PARCEL 43-09-43-0-000-006.000
That piece, parcel or lot of land being and lying in the Village of Montrose in said
county and said state and more particularly described as commencing at a point marked
by an iron pin at the Northwest corner of Adam Street and Second Street: thence
Northwardly along the West line of Second Street a distance of 208 feet for the Place of
Beginning; thence continuing along the West line of Second Street a distance of 100
feet to a point; thence Westwardly and at right angles to Second Street a distance of 300
feet to a point; thence Southwardly and parallel to Second Street a distance of 100 feet
to a point; thence Eastwardly and parallel to Adams Street a distance of 300 feet to the
Place of Beginning; said parcel being a fractional part of Lot 2 of Square 5 according to
the plat of Montrose by Gaven B. Yuille in 1847 and recorded in Book E, Page 388 in
the records of the Office of the Judge of Probate of Baldwin County, Alabama. This
property contains .69 acres more or less.
This property shall be zoned R-1, Low Density Single- Family Residential District.
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that a certified copy of this Ordinance, with a copy of
the Petition and the exhibit, be recorded in the Office of the Probate Judge, Baldwin
County, Alabama.
This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its due adoption and publication as
required by law.

We. the undersigned PETITIONER/S, owner/s of the lands ill fee simple described
in Cite attached EXHIBIT A, Such property being wiellout the Corporate Limits of
the City of Fairhopc, Alabama, but being contiguous to the said Corporate Limits;
and such property not lying within the corporate limits or police juriadiccion
of any other municipality, do, by these presents, hereby petition the City of
Fairhope, a municipal corporation, that said property be annexed into the City
of Fairhopc, Alabama.
The subject land is delineated on the map attached hereto as EXHIBIT B.
This pacition is filed under authority of Section 11-42-21, Code of Alabama,
1915, as amended.
