WHEREAS, DARWIN B. HARRIS the owners
of the hereinafter described property, did, in writing, petition the City of Fairhope, a
municipal corporation, for annexation under Section 11-42-21 of the Code of Alabama,
1975, as amended; and
WHEREAS, a map of said property is attached to said Petition as an exhibit; NOW,
THEREFORE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF FAIRHOPE,
ALABAMA, that the following described property, lying contiguous to the corporate
limits of the City of Fairhope, Alabama; and not within the corporate limits or the
police jurisdiction of any other municipality; be and the same is hereby annexed to the
City of Fairhope, Alabama, to -wit:
LEGAL DESCRIPTIONS:
Lot Thirteen (13), in Parryman Place, a subdivision, Section 20, Township 6 south,
Rang 2 East, recorded in May Book 6, 153, of the Records of Baldwin County,
Alabama.
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that a certified copy of this Ordinance, with a copy of
the Petition and the exhibit, be recorded in the Office of the Probate Judge, Baldwin
County, Alabama.
This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its due adoption and publication as
required by law.
ADOPTED THIS 25T" DAY OF OCTOBER ,1999.

Consideration of Adjusting the User Fees for the Planning and
Building Department
The Planning and Building Department has conducted a survey of other
communities to research user fees for services. Please find attached a summary
of the survey. The survey also indicates what we currently charge and what is
proposed.
As you can tell, our fees are below and in some cases dramatically below what
other communities are charging. It is my understanding that the user fees
charged by the Planning and Building Department have not been adjusted in
many years.
The attached Ordinance adjusts the user fees to be more competitive with other
cities. It also represents a greater reclamation of costs that are incurred with new
development proposals.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION:
To approve the attached Ordinance.
