ORDINANCE NO. 995-
WHEREAS, JOHN & ALMA MAXINE MIXSON, the owners
of the hereinafter described property, did, in writing, petition
the City of Fairhope, a municipal corporation, for annexation
under Section 11-42-21 of the Code of Alabama, 1975, as amended;
and
WHEREAS, a map of said property is attached to said Petition
as an exhibit; NOW, THEREFORE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF FAIRHOPE,
ALABAMA, that the following described property, lying conti-
guous to the corporate limits of the City of Fairhope, Alabama;
and not within the corporate limits or the police jurisdiction
of any other municipality; be and the same is hereby annexed
to the City of Fairhope, Alabama, to -wit:
The property is located between Greeno Road (US 98) and Booth Road, ex-
tends 665 ft from Twin Beech Road north to the southeast corner of
Fairhope Memory Gardens (corporate limits); and is more properly de-
scribed as: BEGINNING at the Southeast corner of the S/W Quarter of
the S/W Quarter, Section 21, T6S, R2E, Baldwin County, Alabama;
thence run North along the East boundary of said S/W Quarter 665.0 ft,
more or less, to the Corporate Limits of Fairhope, Alabama; thence run
West along said Corporate line 10.0 ft; thence run South and parellel
to the first course 665.0 ft, more or less, to a point due West of the
Point of Beginning; thence run East 10.0 ft to the Point of Beginning,
the described parcel of land being the East 10 feet of that certain parcel
conveyed to John and Alma Maxine Mixson in Deed Book 71 at Page 237,
Probate records of Baldwin County, Alabama. Tract is a strip of land
10.0 feet wide x 665.0 ft, more or less, in length.
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that a certified copy of this Ordinance,
with a copy of the Petition and the exhibit, be recorded
in the Office of the Probate Judge, Baldwin County, Alabama.
This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its due
adoption and publication as required by law.

PETITION FOR ANNEXATION
STATE OF ALABAMA
COUNTY OF BALDWIN
THE UNDERSIGNED PETITIONERS, being the Owners of the
hereinafter -described land in fee simple, such property being
without the Corporate Limits of the City of Fairhope, Alabama,
but being contiguous to the said Corporate Limits, and such
property not lying within the said Corporate Limits or Police
Jurisdiction of any other municipality, hereby petition the
City of Fairhope, a municipal corporation, that said property
be annexed into the City of Fairhope, Alabama.
This petition is filed under authority of Section 11-42-21
of the code of Alabama (1975), as amended.
The property to be annexed is described as:
BEGINNING at the Southeast corner of the S/W 1/4 of
S/W 1/4, Section 21, T6S, R2E Baldwin County, Alabama;
Thence run North along the East boundary of said SW 1/4
665 feet, more or less, to the Corporate Limits of
Fairhope, Alabama; Thence run West along said Corporate
line 10 feet; Thence run South and parallel to the first
course 665 feet, more or less, to a point due West of the
Point of Beginning; Thence run East 10 feet to the Point
of Beginning, the described parcel of land being the East
10 feet of that certain parcel conveyed to John and Alma
Maxine Mixson in Deed Book 71 at Page 237, Probate
records of Baldwin County, Alabama.
