ORDINANCE NO. �67
WHEREAS, MARJORIE KIRK GUNTER THAMES, the owner of the hereinafter
described property, did, in writing, petition the City of
Fairhope, a municipal corporation, for annexation and zoning
under Section 11-42-21 of the Code of Alabama, 1975, as amended;
and
WHEREAS, a map of said property is attached to said Petition
as an exhibit; NOW, THEREFORE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF FAIRHOPE,
ALABAMA, that the following described property, lying conti-
guous to the corporate limits of the City of Fairhope, Alabama;
and not within the corporate limits or the police jurisdiction
of any other municipality; be and the same is hereby annexed
to the City of Fairhope, Alabama, to -wit:
Property owned by MARJORIE K. THAMES, located south of the City on the
east side of Greeno Road, (US 98), more properly described as:
From the Southwest Corner of the Northwest Quarter of the Southwest Quarter,
Section 21, T6S, R2E, run North along the West boundary of said Section
21 and along the center line of Greeno Boulevard 220.22 ft to the POINT
OF BEGINNING: Thence run East 40 ft to an iron rod on a fence line on
the East right-of-way line of Greeno Blvd; thence continue East 441.5
ft to a concrete marker; thence North 137.45 ft to a concrete marker;
thence West 441.5 ft to an iron rod at a fence corner at the north side
of a private driveway and on the East right-of-way line of Greeno Boulevard;
thence continue West 40 ft to the West boundary of said Section 21; thence
South along the West boundary of said Section and the center line of
said Greeno Blvd. 137.45 ft, more or less, to the Point of Beginning.
Area contains 1.39 acres, more or less.
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that this property will be zoned as
currently zoned by the County as allowed by the Fairhope
Zoning Ordinance concurrent with annexation; and
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that a certified copy of this Ordinance,
with a copy of the Petition and the exhibit, be recorded
in the Office of the Probate Judge, Baldwin County, Alabama.
This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its due
adoption and publication as required by law. U

PETITION FOR ANNEXATION
COUNTY OF BALDWIN §
I, MARJORIE KIRK GUNTER THAMES, , the owner of the hereinafter
described land in fee simple, such property being without
the Corporate Limits of the City of Fairhope, Alabama, but
being contiguous to the said Corporate Limits, and such property
not lying within the Corporate Limits or Police Jurisdiction
of any other municipality, do by these presents hereby petition
to City of Fairhope, a municipal corporation, that said property
be annexed into the City of Fairhope, Alabama; with zoning
to be as currently zoned by the County as allowed by the
Fairhope Zoning Ordinance.
This petition is filed under the authority of Section
11-42-21 of the Code of Alabama (1975) as amended.
The property to be annexed is described as follows and a
map thereof, showing its position in relation to the Fairhope
Corporate Limits, is attached hereto as an exhibit:
