HomeMy WebLinkAboutO-863ORDINANCE NO. p � 3 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 557 KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF FAIRHOPE, ALABAMA, AS FOLLOWS: The ordinance known as the Zoning Ordinance (No. 557), adopted 11 August 1975, together with the Zoning Map of the City of Fair - hope, be and the same hereby is changed and altered in respect to that certain property described below: A block of adjoining parcels, owned by Mr. Sandoz, Mr. Walker, Mr. Jim West, the City of Fairhope, and Baldwin County Board of Education, presently zoned R2 Medium Density Single Family Re- sidential and R4 Low Density Multi -Family Residential; said block bounded on the North by DE LA MARE AVENUE, on the West by CHURCH STREET, on the East by the now existing B2 District, and on the South by a line 132 feet north of and parallel to FELS AVENUE, SAID BLOCK MORE PROPERLY DESCRIBED AS: Beginning at the northwest corner of Block 13, Division 1 of the lands of Fairhope Single Tax Corporation, run thence South along the east boundary of Churc Street 783 ft to the southeast corner of Church Street and Morphy Avenue; thence run southwesterly along the east side of Church Street 132 ft; thence run East 248 ft; thence run North 192 ft to the north side of Morphy Avenue; thence run east along Morphy Avenue 30 ft; thence run North 330 ft; thence run West 133 ft; thence run North 453 ft to De La Mare Avenue; thence run West along De La Mare Avenue 132 ft, more or less, to Point of Beginnin The classification of said property is hereby changed from R2 Medium Density Single Family Residential and R4 Low Density Multi -Family Residential to Bl Local Shopping District and it shall hereafter be lawful to construct on such property any structures permitted by Ordinance No. 557 and to use said premises for any use permitted by Ordinance No. 557; provided the plans for any structure or building sought to be erected on said property shall be in compliance with the building laws of the City of Fairhope and that any structure shall be approved by the Building Official of the City of Fairhope and that any such structure be erected only in compliance with such laws, including the requirements of Ordinance No. 557.
