AN ORDINANCE TO ESTABLISH NEW WATER RATES AND WASTEWATER (SEWER)
RATES FOR ALL CUSTOMERS OF THE CITY OF FAIRHOPE WATER $ SEWER
SYSTEM; TO BE EFFECTIVE IN TWO PHASES: PHASE ONE RATES EFFECTIVE
ON THE FIRST BILLING CYCLE IN AUGUST, 1989; PHASE TWO RATES
EFFECTIVE ON THE FIRST BILLING CYCLE IN JANUARY, 1990. RATES
ESTABLISHED BY DELETING AND REPLACING SECTION 21-38 and 21-54,
CITY OF FAIRHOPE, ALABAMA, CODE OF ORDINANCES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF FAIRHOPE, ALABAMA, AS F
SECTION ONE. Section 21-38. Rates --Schedules, Fairhope Code of Ordinances,
is hereby deleted in full and replaced to read as follows:.
"Sec. 21-38. Rates --Schedules.
There is hereby established for all water customers of --the
City, rates as follows:.
PHASE ONE, effective on the first August, 1989, billing cycle.
W1 -'In-City General'SerVice::
First 2,000 gallons or less, for $5.00 (minimum), plus
Next 183,000 gallons or less @ $0.75 per 1,000 gals, plus
Next 801,000 gallons or less @ $0.65 per 1,000 gals, plus
All over 100,000 gallons @ $0.50 per 1,000 gals, plus Tax.
W2 & W3 - Out -City General Service::
First 3,000 gallons or less, for $7.50 (minimum), plus
Next 17,000 gallons or less, @ $1.50 per 1,000 gals, plus
Next 2,980,000 gallons or less, @ $1.05 per 1,000 gals, plus
All over 3,000,000 gallons @ $1.00 per 1,000 gals, plus Tax.
PHASE TWO, effective on the first January, 1990, billing cycle.

customers of the City, rates as follows:
PHASE ONE, effective on the first August, 1989, billing cycle.

Service Charge: $3.00 (minimum*) per customer, plus
First 100,000 gallons @ $0.55 per 1,000 gals, plus
All over 100,000 gallons @ $0.50 per 1,000 gallons.

SECTION THREE. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are
to the extent of such conflict repealed.
SECTION FOUR. In the event that any provision or application of this Ordinance
shall be held to be invalid, it is the legislative intent that the other pro-
visions and applications hereof shall not thereby be affected.
SECTION FIVE. This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its due
adoption and publication as required by law;. rates effective on dates as
herein indicated.
