AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING THE HEREINAFTER -DESCRIBED PROPERTY
WHICH PROPERTY IS CONTIGUOUS TO THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE
CITY OF FAIRHOPE, ALABAMA, SAID ANNEXATION BEING BY PETITION
OF ALL OWNERS THEREOF:
WHEREAS, B. TOMMY SPRINGER, JR. and LUCY MARIE
SPRINGER, husband and wife, the "Owners" of the
hereinafter -described property, did, in writing, petition
the City of Fairhope, a municipal corporation, for
annexation under Section 11-42-21 of the Code of Alabama
(1975) as amended; and
WHEREAS, a map of said property is attached to said
Petition as an exhibit.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of C4

the City of Fairhope, Alabama that the following -described
property lying contiguous to the corporate limits of the
City of "airhope, Alabama, be and the same is hereby annexed
to the City of Fairhope, to -wit:
From the SE corner of SE 1/4 of NW 1/4 of Section
16, Township 6 South, Range 2 East, run North
along N.S. half section line 735 feet to POINT OF
BEGINNING: Thence run West 231 feet; thence run
South 85.8 feet; thence run East 231 feet; thence
run North 85.8 feet to POINT OF BEGINNING; said
property lies in the SE 1/4 of NW 1/4 of Sec. 16,
T6S, R2F., Baldwin County, Alabama; subject to a 30
foot roadway and power line easement along the
East side of said property.

B1- IT FURTHER ORDAINED by the City of Fairhope,
Alabama, that a certified copy of this ordinance, with a
copy of the Petition for Annexation and the exhibit, be
recorded in the Office of the Judge of Probate of Baldwin
County, Alabama.
THIS ORDINANCE shall take effect immediately upon its
adoption and publicat�jion as required by law.

B. TOMMY SPRINGER, JR. and LUCY MARIE SPRINGER, husband
and wife, the "Owners" of the hereinafter -described land in
fee simple, such property being without the Corporate Limits
of the City of Fairhope, Alabama, but being contiguous to
the said Corporate Limits, and such property not lying
within the Corporate Limits or Police Jurisdiction of any
other municipality, does by these presents hereby petition
the City of Fairhope, a municipal corporation, that said
property be annexed into the City of Fairhope, Alabama.
This Petition is filed under authority of Section
11-42-21 of the Code of Alabama (1975) as amended.
The property to be annexed is described as follows and
a map thereof is attached hereto as an exhibit.
From the SE corner of SE 1/4 of NW 1/4 of Section
16, Township 6 South, Range 2 East, run North
along N.S. half section line 735 feet to POINT OF
BEGINNING: Thence run West 231 feet; thence run G�

PETITION FOR ANNEXATION OF UNINCORPORATED TERRITORY
TO THE CITY OF FAIRHOPE, ALABAMA
To the Honorable Mayor and City Council of the City of Fairhope,
Baldwin County, Alabama:
Come now the undersigned petitioners and,
persuant to Section 11-42-21 of the Code of Alabama
(1975, as amended), respectfully show
I.
That the undersigned petitioners request the
following described territory to be annexed to the
City of Fairhope, State of Alabama, pursuant to
Section 11-42-21.
Commence at the Southeast corner of the
Southwest 1/4 of Section 20 Township 6
South, Range 2 East, and run thence North
00', 04' West, 2198.4 feet; thence run
North 59° 51' West, along the North line
of the Baron DeFerriet Grant Section 18 a dis�-
tance of 1034.23 feet; thence run South 220
03' 16" West, along the West margin of "Lovett
Lane" a distance of 319.72 feet to an iron
pin marker for a POINT OF BEGINNING; thence
continue South 22' 03' 16" West, along the
West margin of said Lovett Lane 139.13 feet
to an iron pin marker at the Northeast Corner
of Lands of the New Era Baptist Church; thence
run North 68' 28' 47" West, 208.0 feet to
the Northwest corner of said church lot; thence
run South 220 45' 26" West, 208.0 feet to
an iron pipe marker on the North Boundary of
lands now or formerly of Isom Feelin; thence
run North 68' 46' 54" West, 337.12 feet to
a 1 1/2 inch iron pipe marker, thence run North
310 34' 21" East, along and with a fence 557.14
feet to an iron pipe marker; thence run South
56' 06' 17" East, 285.4 feet to an iron pin
marker; thence run South 22' 03' 16" West, 100.0
feet to an iron pin marker; thence run South
56° 06' 17" East, 180.0 feet to the Point of
Beginning. Tract lies in the Southwest 1/4
of Regular Fractional Section 20 and within
the Baron DeFerriet Grant Section 18, all in
Township 6 South, Range 2 East, Baldwin county,
Alabama.
It is a condition of this petition and agreement
to be annexed that the territory come into the City zoned,
M-1 Light Industrial District and R-6 Mobile Home District
Parcels A and B respectively.

II.
That attached hereto as Exhibit A is a map of the
described territory showing its relationship to the
corporate limits of the City of Fairhope, State of
Alabama.
That the undersigned petitioners are all of the
owners of property located and contained within the
described territory.
IV.
That the described territory is contiguous
to the City of Fairhope, State of Alabama.

That the described territory does not lie
within the corporate limits or police jurisdiction
of any other municipality.
WHEREFORE, Petitioners pray that the governing body of
the City of Fairhope, State of Alabama, adopt an ordinance
assenting to the annexation of said territory to the City of
Fairhope, that the corporate limits of the City of Fairhope,
State of Alabama, be extended and rearranged so as to embrace
and include the described territory, that the territory
be zoned as. aforesaid, and that such other proceedings and
actions as are described in Section 11-42-21);of:: the' .Code. of

Alabama be taken to annex said territory to the City of
Fairhope.
