ORDINANCE N0. v D'�;
WHEREAS, the owners of the hereinafter described
property, did, in writing, petition the City of Fairhope, a
municipal corporation, for annexation under Section 11-42-21
of the Code of Alabama (1975) as amended; and
WHEREAS, a map of said property is attached to said
Petition as an exhibit; NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the City of Fairhope,
Alabama, that the following described property lying
contiguous to the corporate limits of the City of Fairhope,
Alabama; and not within the corporate limits or the police
jurisdiction of any other municipality; be and the same is
hereby annexed to the City of Fairhope, to -wit:
Property of GASTON-LEE POST NO. 5660 VETERANS OF FOREIGN
WARS: Commence at the northwest corner of the northeast
quarter of the northwest quarter of Section 21, T6S, R2E, in
Baldwin County, Alabama for the Point of Beginning. Thence
run south along the west line of the said northeast quarter
of the northwest quarter of said Section for a distance of
615 ft, thence eastwardly and parallel to the north line of
said Section for a distance of 210 ft, thence nothwardly and
parallel to the west line of said Section for a distance of
615 ft to the north line of Section 21, thence westwardly and
along the north line of Section 21 for a distance of 210 ft
to the Point of Beginning; Less a thirty-foot strip across
the north end of the described property for a Public
Right -of -Way. The property lies in and is a portion of
Section 21, T6S, R2E, and contains a net of 2.82 acres.
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED by the City of Fairhope, Alabama,
that a certified copy of this Ordinance, with a copy of the
Petition for Annexation and the exhibit, be recorded in the
Office of the Probate Judge, Baldwin County, Alabama.
THIS ORDINANCE shall take effect immediately upon its due
adoption and publication as required by law.

PETITION FOR ANNEXATION
STATE OF ALABAMA
BALDWIN COUNTY
Gaston -Lee Post No. 5660 Veterans of Foreign Wars, Inc
(an Alabama Corporation), being all the owners of the
hereinafter dexcribed lands in fee simple, such property
being without the Corporate Limits of the City of Fairhope,
Alabama, but being contiguous to the said Corporate Limits,
and such property not lying within the Corporate Limits,
or Police Jurisdiction of any other municipality, do by
these presents hereby petition the City of Fairhope, a
municipal corporation, that said property be annexed into
the City of Fairhope, Alabama.
This Petition is filed under authority of Act No. 2228,
1971 Acts of the State Legislature of the State of Alabama.
The property to be annexed is described as follows and a map
thereof is attached hereto:
Commence at the Northwest corner of the Northeast quarter
of the Northwest quarter of Section 21, Township 6 South,
Range 2 East in Baldwin County, Alabama for the Point of
Beginning of this Description. Thence run South along the
West line of the said Northeast quarter of the Northwest
quarter of said Section for a distance of 615 feet, thence
Eastwardly and parallel to the North line of said Section
for a distance of 210 feet, thence Northwardly and parallel
to the West line of said section for a distance of 615 feet
to the North line of Section 21, thence Westwardly and along
the North line of Section 21 for a distance of 210 feet
to the Point of beginning; Less a thirty foot strip across
the North end of the described property for a Public Right -
of -Way. The property lies in.and a portion of Scetion 21,
Township 6 South, Range 2 East and contains a net of 2.82
acres.
