CHANGE PERSONNEL RULES & REGULATIONS: CHAPTER V,
LEAVES OF ABSENCE, SECTION 2 - HOLIDAYS; AND
SECTION 3 - ANNUAL LEAVE (ESTABLISHED UNDER
' ORDINANCE NO. 593, ADOPTED 11 JULY 1977)
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF FAIRHOPE, ALA:.
I SECTION ' I.
Chapter V, Section 2, "HOLIDAYS", of the.City of Fairhope Personnel
Rules & Regulations is'hereby amended by the following:
"MARDI GRAS DAY" is deleted, and "MEMORIAL DAY - Last
Monday in May" is inserted in the list of Holidays."
SECTION II.
To confirm and ratify Council action of 9 February 1987 on
Resolution No. 216-87:
l Chapter V, Section 3, "ANNUAL LEAVE", of the City of Fairhope
Personnel Rules & Regulations is hereby amended to read as follows
"Salaried employees of the City of Fairhope who have
been in continuous employment of the City for
twelve (12) months or longer shall be entitled to
two (2) weeks vacation each year with pay, those who
have been in continuous employment of the City for
ten (10) years or longer shall be entitled to
three (3) weeks vacation each year with pay, and
those who have been in continuous employment of the
City for twenty (20) years or longer shall be entitled
to four (4) weeks vacation each year with pay."
(Section 3 [a] Scheduling - remains as written with
appropriate changes of 15 years to 10 years, and
25 years to 20 years.)
This change shall take effect immediately (2/9/87) but
is not to be implemented retroactively. Each employee's
annual leave days will be adjusted according to this new
policy by the Personnel Director on each Anniversary Date
next following the adoption date of Res. No. 216-87.
SECTION III.
`This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon it's due adoption
land publication as required by law.
