AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING THE HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED
PROPERTY WHICH SAID PROPERTY IS CONTIGUOUS
TO THE CITY LIMITS OF FAIRHOPE, BALDWIN COUNTY,
ALABAMA, AND IS NOT LOCATED CONTIGUOUS TO OR
IN THE POLICE JURISDICTION OF ANY OTHER
CORPORATE LIMITS; SUCH ANNEXATION BY PETITION OF
ALL OF THE PROPERTY OWNERS OF SAID PROPERTY.
WHEREAS, Atilio I. Corte, Jr., Angelo A. Corte, Fred L.
Corte, and Baldwin County, a political subdivision
of the State of Alabama, the sole owners of the herein-
after described property, and they did petition the
City of Fairhope, Alabama, a municipal corporation, for
annexation under Act 2228, adopted in the 1971 Regular
Session of the Legislature of the State of Alabama, and
WHEREAS, a map of said property is attached to said Petitiont
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the
City of Fairhope, Alabama, by these presents do hereby
annex all of the hereinafter described property, which
is contiguous to the corporate limits of the City of Fair -
hope, Alabama, and more particularly described as follows,
to wit:
The Southeast Quarter(SE4) of the Northwest
Quarter(NWI), LESS AND EXCEPTING the East
231 feet thereof, AND the part of the Northeast
Quarter(NE4) of the Southwest Quarter(SWI) of
the Northwest Quarter(NW4) presently lying out-
side the corporate limits of Fairhope, AND the
Southeast Quarter(SEI) of the Southwest Quarter
(SWI) of the Northwest Quarter(NWI), all being
in Section 16, Township 6 South Range 2 East,
Baldwin County, Alabama.
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED by the City of Fairhope, Alabama, that
the City does by these presents assent to the said annexation
to the City of Fairhope of the hereinabove described property,
to be zoned as requested in petition.
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED by the City of Fairhope, Alabama, that
a Certified copy of this Ordinance, together with the Petitions
of Annexation and the map6attached thereto, be recorded in the
Office of the Judge of Probate of Baldwin County, Alabama.
THIS ORDINANCE shall take effect upon its due adoption and
duplication as required by law and upon its final approval
by the U.S. Department of Justice as provided by the Voting
Rights Act of 1965.
ADOPTED THIS DAY OF 1985.
