ORDINANCE NO. 'I.3to
AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING THE HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED PROPERTY
WHICH PROPERTY IS CONTIGUOUS TO THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE
CITY OF FAIRHOPE, ALABAMA, SAID ANNEXATION BEING BY PETITION
OF ALL THE OWNERS THEREOF, AND TO SET THE ZONE THEREOF:
WHEREAS, JULIO CORTE, JR., the "Owner" of the herein-
after described property did, in writing, Petition the CITY
OF FAIRHOPE, a Municipal Corporation, for annexation under
Act 2228, adopted in the 1971 Regular Session of the Legis-
lature of the State of Alabama, and
WHEREAS, a map of said property is attached to said
Petition as an exhibit.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of
the City of Fairhope, Alabama, that the following described
property lying contiguous to the corporate limits of the
City of Fairhope, Alabama, be and the same is hereby annexed
to the City of Fairhope, to -wit:
Commence at the Northwest corner of the Southwest 1/4
of the Northwest 1/4, Section 16, T6S, R2E; thence run
North 890-55'-53" East, 660 feet to the existing Fair -
hope City Limits; thence run South 00'-11'-44" West,
30.0 feet to the point of beginning; thence continue
South 00'-11'-44" West, 140.0 feet along the existing
City Limits; thence run North 89°-56'-57" East, 557.84
feet; thence run North 00a-11'-20" East, 140.0 feet;
thence run South 89°-55'-53" West, 557.79 feet to the
point of beginning. Said above described parcel con-
taining 1.8+ Acres.
Commence at the Northwest corner of the Southwest 1/4
of the Northwest 1/4, Section 16, T6S, R2E; thence run
North 89°-55'-53" East, 660 feet to the existing Fair -
hope City Limits; thence run South 00°-11'-44" West,
170.0 feet to the point of beginning: thence continue
South 00°-11'-44" West, 492.67 feet along the existing
City Limits; thence run North 89°-56'-57" East, 557.94
feet; thence run North 00a-11'-20" East, 492.86 feet;
thence run South 89°-55'-53" West, 557.84 feet to the
point of beginning. Said above described parcel con-
taining 6.3+ Acres.
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED by the City of Fairhope, Alabama
that the City does hereby assent to the said annexation to
the City of Fairhope, and,
follows:
said property is to be zoned as

that a certified copy of this Ordinance, with a copy of the
Petition for Annexation and the exhibit, be recorded in the
Office of the Judge of Probate of Baldwin County, Alabama.
THIS ORDINANCE shall take effect immediately upon its
adoption and publication as

PETITION FOR ANNEXATION
STATE OF ALABAMA §
COUNTY OF BALDWIN §
JULIO CORTE, JR., the "Owner"of the hereinafter des•-
cribed land in fee simple, such property being without the
Corporate Limits of the City of Fairhope, Alabama, but being
contiguous to the said Corporate Limits, and such property
not lying within the Corporate Limits or Police Jurisdiction
of any other municipality, does by these presents hereby
petition the City of Fairhope, a municipal corporation, that
said property be annexed into the City of Fairhope, Alabama.
This Petition is filed under authority of Act No. 2228,
1971 Acts of the State Legislature of the State of Alabama.
The Property to be annexed is described as follows and
a map thereof is attached hereto as an exhibit:

of the Northwest 1/4, Section 16, T6S, R2E; thence run
