AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING THE HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED PROPERTY
WHICH SAID PROPERTY IS CONTIGUOUS TO THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY
OF FAIRHOPE, ALABAMA, SUCH ANNEXATION BY PETITION OF THE PROPERTY
OWNER OF SAID PROPERTY.
WHEREAS, JACK E. POPE BUILDING AND REALTY CO., a corporatio
is the fee simple owner of the hereinafter described property
and did by Petition, petition the CITY OF FAIRHOPE, Alabama, a
municipal corporation, for annexation under Act No. 2228, adopted
in the 1971 Regular Session of the Legislature of the State of
Alabama, and
WHEREAS, a map of said property is attached to the said
Petition.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED that the City Council of the
City of Fairhope, Alabama, does by these presents, hereby annex
all of the hereinafter described property, which is contiguous
to the corporate limits of the City of Fairhope, Alabama and
more particularly described as follows, to -wit:
From the Half Section corner on the West line of
Section 19, Township 6 South, Range 2 East, run
South, 398 feet to a point; thence run East, 347
feet to a point; thence run North 89°01'09" East,
36.03 feet to a point; thence run North 88055'36"
East, 631.33 feet to an iron pipe on the North margin
of Nelson Drive for the Point or Place of Beginning:
thence run North 01°17'48" West, 332.75 feet to an
iron pipe; thence run South 84020'28" East, 39.35
feet to an iron pipe; thence run South 84°17'45" East,
473.87 feet to an iron pipe on the West right of way
of a 20-foot lane; thence run South 06°29'53" West,
along said right of way, 274.97 feet to an iron pipe
on the North margin of said drive; thence run South
88°58'07" West along said drive, 433.03 feet to an
iron pipe; thence run South 88°55'36" West along the
said drive, 43.7 feet to the Point of Beginning,
containing 3.55 acres.
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED by the CITY OF FAIRHOPE, Alabama,
that the CITY OF FAIRHOPE does hereby assent to the said
annexation to the CITY OF FAIRHOPE of the hereinabove described
property.
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED by the CITY OF FAIRHOPE, that
a Certified copy of this Ordinance, along with the Petition and
map attached thereto be recorded in the Office of the Judge of
Probate of Baldwin County, Alabama.
This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its
due adoption and publication as required by
law.

PETITION FOR ANNEXATION
STATE OF ALABAMA
BALDWIN COUNTY
JACK E. POPE BUILDING AND REALTY CO., a corporation, being
the owner of the hereinafter described lands in fee simple,
such property being without the corporate limits of the City of
Fairhope, Alabama, but being contiguous to the corporate limits
of the City of Fairhope, and such property not lying within the
corporate limits or Police Jurisdiction of any other municipality
does by these presents, hereby petition the City of Fairhope,
a municipal corporation, to annex said property into the City of
Fairhope, Alabama.
A map of said property is attached hereto and made a part
hereof as though fully set out herein.
This Petition is filed under authority of Act No. 2228,
of the 1971 Acts of the State Legislature of the State of
Alabama, and the property to be annexed is more particularly
described as follows, to -wit:
