HomeMy WebLinkAboutO-629ORDINANCE NO. 629 AN ORDINANCE TO ESTABLISH RATES FOR ALL ELECTRICK CUSTOMERS SERVED BY THE CITY OF FAIRHOPE BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council, City of Fairhope, a The following electrical rates are hereby adopted for all cal customers served by the City of Fairhope: SECTION ONE - RESIDENTIAL R-1 First 40 KWH/Month @ $3.2000, Plus($3.20 Minim Next 110 KWH/Month @ $0,0480, Plus Next 850 KWH/Month @ $0.0362, Plus All Over 1,000 KWH/Month @ $0.0288, For Oct 30th thr Billings All Over 1,000 KWH/Month @ $0.0358, For May 30th thr Billings Plus Fuel Adjustment According to Schedule FCA. SECTION TWO - COMMERCIAL C-1 First 40 KWH/Month @ $3.6000, Plus ($3.60 Min Next 960 KWH/Month @ $0.0560, Plus Next 4,000 KWH/Month @ $0.0488, Plus Next 7,000 KWH/Month @ $0.0428, Plus All Over 12,000 KWH/Month @ $0.0358, Plus Fuel Adjustment according to Schedule FCA. SECTION THREE - INDUSTRIAL I-1 Demand Charge: $3.12 per KW Per Month For All Demand Minimum: 75% of Highest Demand During Preceding 11 M Energy Charge First 20,000 KWH/Month @ $0.0348, Plus Next 80,000 KWH/Month @ $0.0288, Plus Next 100,000 KWH/Month @ $0.0248, Plus All Over 200,000 KWH/Month @ $0.0218, Plus Fuel Adjustment according to Schedule FCA. SECTION FOUR - SCHOOLS To both Public and Private, primary and secondary schools, less of the size of their electrical requirements, the RES R-1 RATE shall apply. The monthly registration of two or meters serving the same premises shall not be combined for purposes. All electricity used by the following shall be valued at $0.03/KWH: City Hall, Police & Fire Stations, City Warehouse & Shops, Electric Substation; Civic Buildings, Water Pumps, Sewer Plants & Lift Stations, Fireman Club, Street Lights & Pier Lighting, Traffic Lights, Lighted Athlet Fields. SECTION EIGHT - CHURCHES 1 churches are to be billed at the RESIDENTIAL R-1 RATE. SECTION NINE - SCHEDULE FCA—FUEL COST ADJUSTMENT The product of the monthly KWH consumption times a fuel cost adjust ment factor shall be added to the consumer's bill computed at the base rate. The fuel cost adjustment factor shall be calculated from the current month's wholesale power bill of Alabama Power Company as follows: FCA Factor = A + B + C P where A = current month's Estimated Energy Cost Adjustme (dollars) B = second preceding month's Estimated Energy Cost Adjustment (dollars) C = second preceding month's Actual Energy Cost Adjustment (dollars) P = current month's energy purchased from APC, ex- cluding SEPA Allotment (KWH) In the event the sum (A + B'+ C) results in a negative figure, the product of the monthly KWH usage times the FCA Factor shall be deducted from the consumer's base rate bill. SECTION TEN - All Ordinances in conflict hereunto be, and the same are, repealed.
