AN ORDINANCE TO ESTABLISH RATES FOR ALL ELECTRICK
CUSTOMERS SERVED BY THE CITY OF FAIRHOPE
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council, City of Fairhope, a
The following electrical rates are hereby adopted for all

SECTION ONE - RESIDENTIAL R-1

SECTION FOUR - SCHOOLS
To both Public and Private, primary and secondary schools,
less of the size of their electrical requirements, the RES
R-1 RATE shall apply. The monthly registration of two or
meters serving the same premises shall not be combined for
purposes.
SECTION FIVE - RATE M2 - PRIVATE ATHLETIC FIELDS

SECTION SEVEN - RATE M3 - CITY USE
All electricity used by the various City departments shall be
accounted for monthly and reported to the Mayor. All electricity
used by the following shall be valued at $0.03/KWH: City Hall,
Police & Fire Stations, City Warehouse & Shops, Electric Substation;
Civic Buildings, Water Pumps, Sewer Plants & Lift Stations, Fireman
Club, Street Lights & Pier Lighting, Traffic Lights, Lighted Athlet
Fields.
SECTION EIGHT - CHURCHES
1 churches are to be billed at the RESIDENTIAL R-1 RATE.
SECTION NINE - SCHEDULE FCA—FUEL COST ADJUSTMENT
The product of the monthly KWH consumption times a fuel cost adjust
ment factor shall be added to the consumer's bill computed at the
base rate. The fuel cost adjustment factor shall be calculated
from the current month's wholesale power bill of Alabama Power
Company as follows:

P = current month's energy purchased from APC, ex-
cluding SEPA Allotment (KWH)
In the event the sum (A + B'+ C) results in a negative figure, the
product of the monthly KWH usage times the FCA Factor shall be
deducted from the consumer's base rate bill.
SECTION TEN - All Ordinances in conflict hereunto be, and the same
are, repealed.
SECTION ELEVEN - This Ordinance shall take effect 1 January 1979
upon due adoption and publication as required by Law.
