HomeMy WebLinkAboutO-612ORDINANCE NO. AN ORDINANCE TO ESTABLISH WATER DEPOSITS FOR ALL WATER CUSTOMERS OF THE CITY OF FAIRHOPE, ALABAMA. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAIRHOPE, ALABAMA: SECTION 1. There is hereby established a Water Deposit of Twenty Dollars ($20.00) for all water users of the City of Fairhope,, Alabama. SECTION 2. All tenants or lessees making deposits hereunder must produce either a Social Security Card number or. Drivers License number at the time of'making such Water Deposit. All Dep will be made by cash or check. SUCTION 3. All Ordinance in conflict herewith be, and the same are hereby repealed. SECTION 4. Box moved to introduce the following; Ordinance: ORDINANCE N0. 61.1 AN ORDINANCE TO ESTABLISH GAS DEPOSITS FOR ALL RENTAL TENANT: INCLUDING SINGLE FAMILY DWELLINGS, DUPLEXESM APARTMENTS, CONDOMINIUMS. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAIRHOPE, ALABAMA. : SECTION ONE: There is hereby established a Gas Deposit of $ 50.00 for all tenants, whether occupied by single famil-N dwellings, duplexes, apartment houses or condominiums. SECTION TWO: There is hereby established a service charge of $ 10.00 for tagging a door or collection of bad checks on all deliquent accounts. CITY OF FAIRHOPE , a municipal corporation MAYOR ATTEST: Mr. Robert�Mitchell of Beasley's Rest Home came before the Mayor and Council to request a parking space designated for the handicapped in the area of Beasley's Rest Home. Councilman Jack A. Stipes was asked to look into the best place for the location of a sign for handicapped parking and report back to \the Council. Councilman Bill\Don Wiggins said that he would like to see the new rest rooms that were proposed for the north end of the beach completed before the beach season opens for this year. Councilman Billy Don Wiggins moved, seconded by Councilman Jack A. Stipes, for he City Engineer Ack Moore, General Superintendent Phil Rutherford and Mr. Jack Kirk, to meet and see what is involved in getting the project of new rest rooms at the beach started wi\th the cost of the .rest rooms to come out of the Beach Revenu Account. Motion carried. Councilman Jack A. Stipes discussed the rule and regulations of the :Planning Board. Mr:. Stipes said that he would like to see the ten (10) and fifteen (15) day time limits followed and that: a set of plans on subdivisions be given to General Superintendent Phil Rutherford' in time for him to make an inspection before the meeting �,f the Commission. The application of Willie E. Smi� for a beer permit at the Twirl.y 'Bird Club was presented. ouncilman Jack Stipes moved seconded by Councilman Davia Bishop to deny the application for a beer permit due o the recommendation of the Chief of Police after investiga ion. Motion carried. Councilman Henry G. Bishop moved, seconded by Councilman Billy Don Wiggins, for the City to officially accept the 1977 Fiscal Year Audit as presented by P�a.rker & White, C.P.A. and to ':ceep Parker and White informed as 'to when and if the City has implemented their recommendations. Motion carried. I
